Transport and its Impact on the Environment

Transport and its Impact on the Environment

More than one Third of Final Energy in the EU is now Consumed by Transport

The driving force in transport are combustion engines, which have a negative impact on the environment. It is thus necessary to deal with the question of how to replace them with a modern, carbon-neutral form that does not have a negative impact on the environment. Hydrogen can be the answer to this question.

Taking into consideration the fact, that Slovakia is the world’s largest producer of cars per capita, we should support innovations in this sector. Investors are constantly looking for a cheaper production, and if we want them to keep their businesses in Slovakia, we must focus on the question how to support innovations. This is directly related to the activities of the Industrial Property Office of the Slovak Republic.

Therefore, we have decided to conclude the year 2021 with a conference on the hydrogen future in transport, on new patents, innovations and their use and, finally yet importantly, on the previous experiences.

High-level representatives of the automotive industry from all over the world, directors of European Intellectual Property Institutions and many of those seeing the hydrogen as a perspective in the future will meet in Bratislava on 9 and 10 December. The conference will focus on an Analysis of patent activity in the field of hydrogen, experiences from the automotive industry, as well as defining the next steps. We will talk about plans and future of hydrogen as a transport fuel.

The conference is intended for the general public, anyone who is interested in learning more about the latest trends in the automotive, energy and transport.

Registration is mandatory for conference participants. Register to stay informed at:  https://h2intransport.com/#tickets.
