Coordinator of hydrogen technologies in the Slovak Republic

Dr.h.c. mult. prof. Ing. Juraj Sinay, DrSc. is a coordinator of hydrogen technologies in the Slovak Republic and a Professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Technical University in Košice, Slovak Republic. Between the years 2000 and 2007 he was a Rector of Technical University in Košice, between the years 2003 and 2005 a President of Slovak Rectors' Conference, and between years 2007 and 2015 a Vice-Rector for Marketing and External Relations at the Technical University in Košice. Between years 2008 and 2010, he was an Advisor of Minister of Education in the field of Science and Research and between years 2012 and 2014 an Advisor of the State Secretary of Ministry of Education. Between years 2015 and 2018 he was a President of the Association of the Automotive Industry of the Slovak Republic/ ZAP SR/. Currently, he is a member of its Executive Committee. In the field of science and research, he deals with the risk management of technical systems, including hydrogen technologies. He is the author and the co-author of 15 monographs and several scientific articles in foreign and domestic sources.

 

The Slovak Republic has been actively involved in European activities in the field of hydrogen technologies. After the approval of the National Hydrogen Strategy, an Action plan will be prepared for the implementation of its content in the conditions of the Slovak Republic. This Action plan will include a set of measures for the application of a complex hydrogen chain, which will also include the areas of research and development for hydrogen mobile technologies.
